June's Best Batter Announced Wednesday, July 1st , 2048 For a rookie just breaking in, Jorge Gómez certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the PAA Batter of the Month award for June. The 23-year-old right fielder for the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles hit .253 with 11 home runs, 22 RBIs and 17 runs scored. Gómez is hitting .200 this year with 15 home runs, 30 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 35 hits in 175 at-bats, 12 walks and a .267 on-base percentage. Gómez has played in 46 games. |
