SAA Reliever of the Year Award Winner Named Saturday, October 3rd , 2048 When Francisco Díaz jogged in from the bullpen this season, opposing teams knew they were going to have a tough time putting up runs. The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs closer turned in a dominant campaign and has been named the USSL Double A Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2048. His award-winning season saw the bullpen ace get 27 saves in 43 relief appearances, 61 strikeouts in 53.2 innings and only 8 walks. He had a record of 5 wins and 1 loss to go with his 1.17 ERA. "I hope I can pitch like this every year," he said. He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Eric Ramírez of the Barton Springs Blues finished second in voting, while William Kelly of the Akron Blimps finished third.
