Jones Wins SAA Player of the Week Monday, August 17th , 2048 So far in his young career, Chris Jones has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Squirrel Hill Pierogis second baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 6 hits in 12 at-bats, 5 home runs, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored. In 45 games this season Jones has batted at a .273 pace with 44 hits and 15 home runs. |
