Noriega Gone for Season in Bethesda

Cristóbal Noriega has to call it a season. The Bethesda Atoms starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Providence Pilgrims and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Noriega was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as an arthritic elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 months.
To date this year in 11 starts, Noriega has crafted a 3-3 mark with a 5.46 ERA.
