Smashing Success: Yi Wallops 3 HR

Fans seated in the bleacher section at Baby Thunder Dome were taking cover all day long as Won-shik Yi zeroed in on them, rattling three long blasts off the seats in a display of Herculean power.
The big game from the St. Petersburg right fielder helped the Thunder take the victory, 10-7, over the Tacoma Fur Traders.
"I told myself not to press on the last one," he told reporters in the postgame press conference. "I knew I couldn't force it -- it has to be a nice easy swing."
For the game, he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs.
Won-shik Yi hit a two-run home run off Paco Meza in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Paco Meza in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Don Lucas in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
For the season, Yi is hitting at a .273 clip with 30 home runs, 71 RBIs and has scored 60 runs. He has 91 hits, 54 walks and a .374 on-base percentage.
