Heath Raps 3 Homers Against Ghosts Sunday, July 19th , 2048 Eric Heath went on an explosive hitting spree against the Casper Ghosts at The Graveyard today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Marquette Miners to the 11-9 win. The right fielder finished 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 6 runs batted in. "It was just one of those days," Heath said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." Casper skipper Mesa Altuve said Heath was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." Eric Heath struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Christian Roberts in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Christian Roberts in the 5th, walked in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Ed Hammons in the 11th. This season Heath has hit at a .222 clip and produced 9 RBI, 5 home runs and 6 runs. |
