2B Davis Given 3-Game Suspension Saturday, September 5th , 2048 For his part in an altercation with an umpire over a third strike, Plymouth Rocks second baseman Nick Davis will have to sit out 3 games. The league commissioner's office today notified the Rocks that Davis had been suspended for his poor conduct during the Reserves game yesterday at KC Reserve Stadium. After being ejected, Davis turned and walked toward the dugout, but then turned around, began yelling at the umpire and kicked dirt on home plate. The league said this type of behavior is not acceptable and will be dealt with according to league disciplinary policies. Davis is batting .273 this year with 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 9 hits in 33 at-bats. |
