3-HR Game for McLean Friday, July 10th , 2048 Hialeah right fielder George McLean blasted three homers today at Dodos Ballpark in the 10-9 Dodos victory over the Sacramento Redlegs. For the game, George McLean scored 3 times and knocked in 5 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant McLean when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful McLean told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." George McLean hit a two-run home run off José Jiménez in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dylan Kempink in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Willie Steele in the 9th. During the current season McLean is batting at a .289 clip with 10 home runs and 33 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 24 times. |
