Haber Rips 3 Homers Against Coyotes
Wednesday, May 27th , 2048
Tortolita right fielder Gene Haber led the Drummers to a 9-2 triumph over the Hamilton Coyotes, crushing three home runs.
"He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Tortolita skipper Barrett Abbott.
Indeed, Haber put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 3 runs and 4 RBIs.
"I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Haber said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em."
Gene Haber hit a solo-shot off Raúl Martínez in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Raúl Martínez in the 4th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Harry MacGruder in the 8th.
So far this season, Haber has recorded a .259 batting average with 15 hits, 4 home runs, 7 RBIs, 11 runs scored and a .368 OBP.
