League Suspends Lanyon and Adams for Brawl Wednesday, August 12th , 2048 If there wasn't a history between Jimmy Lanyon of Florida and Mark Adams of Santa Barbara, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 3 and 7 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Lanyon said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." To date this season Lanyon is hitting .361 with 9 home runs. This year his season stats show Adams has 1 save in 9 relief appearances with a 1-0 record and 2.25 ERA. |
