September's #1 Rookie Named by SL Thursday, October 1st , 2048 Youngster Alexander Karshev emerged as the latest United States Silver League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Seattle deserved the honor, batting .348 with 9 home runs and 15 runs batted in. Is the month of September a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Karshev enjoy the limelight. So far this season Karshev is batting .310 with 24 home runs, 54 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 226 at-bats, 35 walks and a .402 OBP. Karshev has played in 65 games. |
