Joel Lewis Out for Season Sunday, September 6th , 2048 The doctors have spoken and Joel Lewis of the Detroit Elite didn't like what he heard. The 25-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lewis sustained his season-ending injury during the Buffalo White Walkers game yesterday at Beyond the Wall. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Detroit medical staff reported Lewis had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months. In 20 starts this year Lewis has recorded a 3-8 record and a 4.87 ERA. |
