Marquis and Britton Brawl, League Suspends Them

After an intense confrontation, both the Chiefs António Marquis and the U-24 Tom Britton were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Caldwell-Athletic Club KC game. António Marquis will miss 2 games, while Tom Britton was suspended for 6 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," António Marquis commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
This year Marquis has collected a .263 batting average to date with 62 hits in 236 at-bats, 26 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 38 times. He has played in 64 games.
On the year Britton has compiled a 1-3 mark with a 4.66 ERA.
