Walleye Christian Adams Down and Out for Year
Tuesday, July 28th , 2048
Walla Walla starting pitcher Christian Adams could miss the remainder of the season because of a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's Laredo game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Adams would be out 6-7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

This season Adams has worked 80 innings with 70 strikeouts en route to a 4-8 record and a 4.61 ERA.
