Players Suspended in Walleye-U-24 Donnybrook
Sunday, July 26th , 2048
After an intense confrontation, both the Walleye George Jones and the U-24 Dylan Jolly were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Walla Walla-Athletic Club KC game. George Jones will miss 4 games, while Dylan Jolly was suspended for 2 games.
"Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," George Jones commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play."
So far this season Jones is hitting .200 with 1 home run.
For the year, Jolly has collected 3 saves in 22 relief appearances. He has also rung up 62 strikeouts and 13 walks in 46.1 innings while registering a 4.08 ERA and a 2-5 won-lost mark.
