Ahti Riikonen Captures SA Outstanding Hitter Award Saturday, September 26th , 2048 He may have less experience than most of his USSL Single A peers, but that didn't slow Ahti Riikonen down at all in 2048. At the age of 22, the Huntington first baseman has been named the winner of the USSL Single A Outstanding Hitter Award. He had a .311 batting average and a .405 on-base percentage this year. In 94 games he piled up 104 hits, 18 doubles, 1 triple, 19 home runs, 57 RBIs and 57 runs scored. "I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year." He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Naomichi Kodo of the Pontiac Godfathers finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Thatcher Lambert of the Huntington Hermit Crabs finished third.
