Hammond Selected Top Performer in SA Monday, August 31st , 2048 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USSL Single A, but last week Stephen Hammond of the Kent Comets reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Hammond rocked opposing pitching for a .889 average (8-for-9), 1 home run and 2 RBIs to come away with the award. Thus far this season Hammond has hit .285 with 2 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 33 times. |
