Reapers Broomfield Has 15 Ks Monday, August 31st , 2048 Grim Reapers starter Colm Broomfield brought his best stuff to The Coffin today against the Belleville Bulls, striking out 15 batters in his club's 2-0 victory. In a strong performance, the 23-year-old Broomfield gave up no hits in his 7.1 innings of work and issued 7 walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my curveball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." This season Broomfield has picked up no saves and posted a 7-6 record with a 2.36 ERA.
