Burch's Season Could be Over Monday, August 31st , 2048 Washington third baseman Matthew Burch could miss the remainder of the season because of a broken kneecap. He exited yesterday's Alameda game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Burch would be out 4-5 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." So far this season Burch has hit .218 with 1 home run, 11 RBIs and scored 25 times. |
