Belleville Loses C Ford, Suspended by League Tuesday, August 25th , 2048 Belleville's Flynn Ford made contact with the home plate umpire during a dispute in the game with the Generals yesterday and he will have to pay for it. Ford violently disagreed when he was called out on strikes. During the intense discussion he bumped chests with the umpire and was immediately tossed out of the game. Today the league commissioner gave him a 3-game suspension. Still steamed by it, Ford told BNN, "I think the ump bumped me and he is the one who should be suspended. I'm going to appeal this sucker." Thus far this year Ford has hit .174 with no home runs and 8 RBIs. |
