3A's Top Hitter Named Saturday, August 1st , 2048 Bob Hawkins put together a good July to earn the M3L Single A Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Niagara Falls officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Expos first baseman posted a .349 batting average with 7 home runs, 18 RBIs and 18 runs scored. Hawkins is batting at a .310 pace this season, picking up 81 hits in 261 at-bats with 15 home runs, 46 RBIs and 46 runs scored. |
