Expos Valderrábano to Miss Year
Sunday, July 5th , 2048
The doctors have spoken and Rodrigo Valderrábano of the Niagara Falls Expos didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Valderrábano sustained his season-ending injury during the Put-In-Bay Commodores game yesterday at Waterfall Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Niagara Falls medical staff reported Valderrábano had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 15-16 months.
This season Valderrábano has recorded 3 saves with a 0-0 record. He's made 11 relief appearances, tossed 17.1 innings while fanning 21 with a 1.56 ERA.
