Hollywood Takes 2-1 Lead in ToC Semi-Finals
|
The Hollywood Shredders moved to within one game of the Tournament of Champions today, downing the Buffalo White Walkers on the road at Beyond the Wall by a score of 3-1. Shredders right-hander Van Hileman had a strong outing. He threw 6.2 innings of 2-hit ball. The win gives the Shredders a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 ToC Semi-Finals.
Hileman gave Hollywood a solid start. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits over 6.2 innings.
"Every team in baseball loses," White Walkers manager Chris Lau said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Beyond the Wall in Buffalo.
