Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas Sweep SL AA Championship

With a 1-0 win over the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs tonight at Experimental Stadium, the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas wrapped up their 2nd title in team history.
Chesapeake left little doubt who was the better club. "Team" was the word of the day as the Cangrejos Fantasmas celebrated the culmination of their banner year in the victors clubhouse following the game.
"Hitting, pitching, fielding; those are all things you need to win, but most importantly you need a team, a team that works together toward the same collective goal," said Chesapeake manager Brian Cameron. "Our players felt that way all year and they played that way. When one guy had an off day, 24 others stepped up their game and filled the void."
A jovial mood filled the air as Chesapeake celebrated into the night. The city's mayor said parade plans were underway and a "huge celebration" in the works.
"We're going to celebrate our team, our championship Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas," the mayor said.
The champions completed the regular season with a second-place finish in the Silver AA and a 66-36 record.
