Behind a bravura effort from starter Michael Leal, the Cut Off Crawdads topped the Kingston Mangos by the score of 4-2 today and got their first win in the 2048 3L A Championship. Leal threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs for the Crawdads. The win moves Cut Off into a 1-1 tie with Kingston.

Andrés Torres helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run triple. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Crawdads.

"Every team in baseball loses," Mangos manager William Smith said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 11th , 2048 at Mango Yard in Kingston.
