Coeur Saddle Patriots with 4-1 Loss
|
St. Louis starter Aaron Daniels put a stranglehold on the Boston offense. The left-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Coeur to a 4-1 win. Monte Evans earned the save for St. Louis, his 2nd of the year. The win puts St. Louis at 9-10.
St. Louis shortstop Kane Felton contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Coeur ahead, 2-1.
Felton told a St. Louis Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
