Lakers Win at Baltimore, 4-1
|
Echo Park and Baltimore duked it out and the Lakers came out victorious.
The Baltimore Bullets went down to defeat to Mitch Ivey and his Echo Park teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Lakers. Ivey, now 3-3, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 2, walking 0, and allowing 1 run.
Echo Park relied on the bat of Jon Griffin to get the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Lakers ahead, 3-0. For the game, Griffin had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Lakers manager Jordan Calhoun, "I like our chances."
