Piranhas Get Past MSL Charleston for 7-6 Win
|
The MSL Panama City Piranhas defeated the MSL Charleston Battery, 7-6, at MSL Panama City Ballpark today. Leading the charge for MSL Panama City was catcher Su-shun Hung. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Reliever Xavier Ramírez picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. David Brown took the loss. MSL Panama City is now 18-21.
The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the ninth. With MSL Panama City trailing 6-4, Julian Creed hit a fastball from Alberto Martínez to left for a bases-clearing double. Just like that, the Piranhas had a walk-off win.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Hung.
