Stingers Fell Northern Lions BC, 8-6
The MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC got a superb performance from third baseman Cal Weber, but the MSL Toledo Stingers still won the game, 8-6. Weber was 2 for 5 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Trevor Covenay was the winning pitcher. Over 9 innings, he allowed 6 runs on 12 hits, with 3 walks and 9 strikeouts. The triumph makes MSL Toledo 6-26.

The Stingers got an important contribution from second baseman Yifu Kelly, who in the top of the third hit a 1-0 slider into center for a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Stingers ahead, 4-3.

Stingers manager Álex Burgos wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
