Piranhas Take Down Northern Lions BC, 4-2

Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the MSL Panama City Piranhas got the win.
MSL Panama City left-hander Carlos Maldonado pitched his team to victory over the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at MSL Thunder Bay Ballpark. The final score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Maldonado, now 4-1. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 7. Rob Sawyer earned the save, his 8th, for the Piranhas.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Bill Johnson? The MSL Panama City center fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Piranhas on top, 1-0. For the game, Johnson had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Maldonado said.
The Piranhas now have a mark of 13-16.
