Northern Lions BC Fell Bowties, 8-6

Francisco Gómez made an impact in the 8-6 MSL Thunder Bay win over MSL Buckhead. Gómez, who is tied for 4th in the 3MSL in RBI with 22, was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Álex Domínguez picked up the win. His record improves to 2-0. Yoichibei Ogawa took the loss. Ning-qing Lok finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Princess Quarter, Sint Maarten-born Waldo Schaar came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Northern Lions BC trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single to center to put MSL Thunder Bay on top.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Schaar said.
The Northern Lions BC improved to 11-4.
