Knights Outmuscle MSL Thunder Bay, 12-8
|
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the MSL Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC home opener. Kai-ge Yo started for the home team against Dominique Leclère for the MSL Kingston Township Knights. The Northern Lions BC were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 12-8, MSL Kingston Township. Elliott Flowers, though, was impressive. Adrik Efremenkov, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits.
The most important at-bat for MSL Kingston Township came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Joseph Vincent reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run, putting MSL Kingston Township up, 9-8.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Knights manager Dan Taylor. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
