7-4 Loss Deepens MSL Buffalo Funk
The MSL Montana Pandas trumped the MSL Buffalo White Walkers, 7-4, at MSL Montana Ballpark. MSL Montana catcher Jesús López was terrific. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Frank Sutkamp was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 3 strikeouts. The White Walkers have now dropped 6 straight.

The White Walkers had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Pandas going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 16-year old center fielder Andrew Perkins came to the plate. Perkins hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 forkball from MSL Buffalo hurler Domingo Gonzáles. It was Perkins's 1st double of the year.

In comments to the MSL Montana Daily, López admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
