Lighthouse Lammers Smacks 5 Hits
After a 5-hit effort to lead MSL Long Island's 12-6 victory over the MSL Baltimore Bullets, right fielder Feitze Lammers told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the USSL Mexican Summer League-level is really something special."

The 18-year-old player earned his accolades today at MSL Baltimore Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Bullets.

"His swing is getting there," said Lighthouse skipper Chad Graves, who spoke glowingly of Lammers after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Feitze did that to perfection today."

Feitze Lammers grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.

Looking at his season stats, Lammers has compiled a .400 batting average and a .520 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 10 runs.
