Bullets Win at Montana, 5-2
|
Baltimore rode a fine outing from starter Perry Cox to victory over the Montana Pandas at Panda Park. The final score was 5-2. The save went to Ron Lucas, his 6th this season. The victory gives Baltimore a record of 35-21.
Baltimore used a well-timed hit by Tony Wonder to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Bullets ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Wonder told a Baltimore Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
