van Houten, Patriots Too Much for Grey Wolves
The MSL Boston Patriots topped the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves, 15-5, with designated hitter Gilbert van Houten playing a big role. van Houten was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Patriots in the win. MSL Boston reliever Jeff Cook was the winner. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Tony Castro. At 16-5, the Patriots have a slim two-game lead in the PL MSL.

Folkert Eikelenboom hit a bases-clearing double off Tony Castro in the bottom of the third, which put the Patriots in front, 5-3. In addition to the double, Eikelenboom had 2 singles, while going 3 for 5.

"We played hard and won," said van Houten. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
