Beavers Sneak By Cajuns, 4-3
|
The Ballard Beavers overcame a good performance by Crowley right fielder Alberto Ferringo to knock off Crowley, 4-3, at Titans Ballpark. Ferringo went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Tom Gardner picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Ki-moon Sin was tagged with the loss. The save went to Thomas Brown, his 7th this season.
Ballard used the timely hitting of António Sáenz to capture the win. The third baseman socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Beavers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Sáenz.
The Beavers have an impressive 58-30 record.
