Andrew Smith made an impact in the 9-3 Northwest Territory win over Ellesmere Island. Smith, who leads the 3A- in extra base hits with 45, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Northwest Territory has a 3-game win streak, while Ellesmere Island has lost 9 in a row.
The Beavers got an important contribution from designated hitter Kwang-ho Won, who in the top of the second punched a first pitch fastball into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Beavers ahead, 3-0.
