Franklin got a terrific performance from pitcher Daan Eland, but it wasn't enough to beat the Capital Hill Interns. Capital Hill won the Lawmen Ballpark contest, 5-3. Eland threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Tsugiharu Miura, now 5-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 1. Domenic Blenkhorn finished the game for Capital Hill and earned his 6th save.
Capital Hill relied on the bat of Luis Durán to get the win. The designated hitter ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Interns ahead, 5-2. For the game, Durán had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
Durán told a Capital Hill Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
Franklin now has a 6-game losing streak.
