Bullets Trip Kingfishers, 5-3, in Extra Innings
|
The Baltimore Bullets took Pittsburgh pitcher Todd Hunter's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Pittsburgh Grounds. The final score had Baltimore getting past the Kingfishers, 5-3. Hunter went 6 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 8. With the victory, the Bullets record now stands at 30-19.
Javier Cunchillos, the 25-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Cunchillos contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put Baltimore up, 4-3.
"Feels good to get the job done," Cunchillos said after the game.
