Maxwell Hits for the Cycle
It was a special day for John Maxwell at Dodge Field today. Not only did Maxwell's Twinsburg Tigers beat the Hicksville Hounds 15-5, but the shortstop hit for the cycle along the way.

The 21-year-old Maxwell racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 4 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.

"He hit everything we threw," said Hounds manager Oliver Burrell. "There was just no getting him out today."

Speaking to the press after the game, Maxwell said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs."

"I got some good looks today," he said.

John Maxwell doubled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off José Córdova in the 3rd, tripled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Maxwell on the season is hitting .303 with 1 home run. His stats include 21 RBIs and 23 runs scored.
