Baby Lakers Top Music, 3-1
|
Bompton Baby Lakers starter Sjaak Est pitched a strong game against the Memphis Music at The Stage in Memphis, leading the Baby Lakers to victory, 3-1. Bompton has a record of 42-40, placing them 5th in the Silver Low A.
Bompton took a 3-1 lead on Ron Warren's 8th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Warren hit in the top of the eighth, left Memphis pitcher Iván Gabriel shaking his head.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Bompton manager Vernon Anderson said.
