Canucks Beat Fire, 7-2
|
The Moose Jaw Canucks trumped the Franklin Fire, 7-2, at Foresters Stadium. Moose Jaw first baseman Anthony Parker was terrific. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Moose Jaw has now won 3 in a row.
Parker contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Moose Jaw in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Parker took a sinker from Milton Kirksey and stroked the home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Canucks to leap in front, 3-2.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Parker told the Moose Jaw Citizen.
