The Northwest Territory Beavers got a sterling performance from pitcher Micah Boulton, but the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople still prevailed, 4-3. Boulton threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Gerjan Wemerman, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save. The 9th-place Snowpeople improved to 16-21.

Basilio Penni, who is tied for 10th in the 3A- in extra base hits with 14, helped out the Ellesmere Island cause in the bottom of the third inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

Penni told a Ellesmere Island Herald reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
