Surprise Gets 4-0 Win
|
Alan Jackson never let Franklin get something going. The Surprise right-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Shockers to a 4-0 win. Jackson picked up the win for Surprise, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. With the victory, the Shockers upped their record to 23-12.
In the bottom of the eighth, Michael Wright stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Fire were trailing 4-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Waleliano Girawheen made a terrific pitch and Wright struck out. Gone was the dream of a Franklin comeback.
