Lighthouse Need Extra Frames to Get Past Kingfishers

Pittsburgh first baseman Martín Flores was sensational. He was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Long Island beat the Kingfishers, 4-3. Long Island pitcher Miguel Rodríguez got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Lloyd Natoff got the loss. The current losing streak for Pittsburgh has reached 4 games.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when first baseman Mathew Mayo, who is on pace for 68 RBI this season, hit a 2-run home run. The Lighthouse went on to win.
"This wasn't a good win," said Mayo. "It was a great win."
