Beavers Dump Ellesmere Island, 4-1, to Win 4th in a Row
|
José Ramos pitched well, but his team, the Ellesmere Island Snowpeople, still dropped a 4-1 decision to the Northwest Territory Beavers at Beaver Town. The 10th-place Beavers have won 4 in a row.
Héctor Sierra dealt the Snowpeople a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Northwest Territory leading 2-0, Sierra hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.
Sierra expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
