Baby Lakers Down Angel Kitties, 9-8
Ron Warren impressed in the 9-8 Bompton win over Bethlehem. Warren, who is tied for 3rd in the SA- with a .421 on-base percentage, went 2-3 with 2 singles and 4 walks, while scoring 2. The winner was José Vargas in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Matt Smith took the loss. Bompton now has a record of 33-28 with the win.

Bompton used the clutch hitting of Shuzo Goto to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Baby Lakers ahead, 9-8. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Warren.
