Northwest Territory Goes Hitless Against MacEwen
The Long Island Ducks relied on no-hit stuff from starter Andrew MacEwen to defeat the Northwest Territory Beavers 8-0 at Ducks Park today.

"It's quite a thrill," MacEwen told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it."

To get his name logged in the M3L Low A records, he stopped Northwest Territory cold and hitless, surrendering 2 walks and fanning 9 of the 29 batters he faced.

Long Island manager Jay Smith was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that MacEwen "made managing easy today."

"I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."
