Memphis Gets 3-2 Win
|
Trash Panda Field was the site of a competitive game between the Watford City Trash Pandas and Memphis Music.
The Memphis Music defeated the Watford City Trash Pandas, 3-2, in USSL Low A action at Trash Panda Field. Memphis pitcher Steve Morrow had a standout performance. The win elevated the Music to 27-26.
Memphis used the timely hitting of Alberto Luján to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Music on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Memphis manager Dave Everett. "It's usually not just one thing."
